My First Outdoor Art Show at Trinity Bellwoods – A Memorable Debut

In September 2024, I participated in my very first outdoor art exhibition at Trinity Bellwoods Park in Toronto. The event lasted two days, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my artistic journey so far. The weather was beautiful—sunny, but with a crisp early fall breeze—and the atmosphere was full of creativity and positive energy. I displayed several of my original watercolor paintings, and to my surprise and joy, six pieces were sold during the weekend. It was my first time doing anything like this, so I was both nervous and excited. Meeting fellow artists and talking to visitors was incredibly inspiring. I listened to their stories, heard feedback, and even received encouragement from complete strangers who connected with my work. One of the most rewarding moments was seeing people's reactions to my art in real time. As someone who started painting later in life, standing there among seasoned artists and feeling welcomed was something I’ll never forget. This exhibition reminded me of why I paint: not just to create, but to connect. I left Trinity Park with a full heart, a few empty frames, and a strong desire to do it all again someday. I look forward to the next opportunity to share my art outdoors, under the open sky, among curious strangers and kindred spirits.
